Several shops in Benevento were targeted overnight in a series of attempted break-ins, according to NTR24.
In two cases, those responsible allegedly smashed shop windows, apparently using stones, but did not manage to get inside. The incidents were reported on via Avellino and via Bachelet.
On via delle Puglie, the offenders reportedly did enter a business and stole various products, including supplements.
Also on via delle Puglie, Carabinieri found a Fiat that had been reported stolen. The car was near barriers closing a section of the road because of a landslide. The report does not establish whether the recovered car was used in the break-ins.
Police and Carabinieri investigations are ongoing to reconstruct what happened and identify those responsible.
