The Guardia di Finanza Provincial Command of Benevento carried out the seizure on the morning of 18 September 2026, executing a decree issued by the Prevention Measures Section of the Naples Tribunal.

The measure orders the seizure, pending possible confiscation, of assets attributed to a 60-year-old man from the Benevento area, with a reported total value of approximately €800,000.

According to the report, the seized assets include several apartments in Benevento and its province, the entire business complex of a construction-sector company, bank accounts, and cars.

Investigators allege that some of the properties were formally registered to family members but were acquired with illicit proceeds. The man is reported to have prior convictions or records involving tax offences and offences against public administration, with the activities under investigation reportedly traced back at least to 2006.

The identities of the man, the company, and the family members were not disclosed, nor were the exact number, addresses, or individual valuations of the properties, vehicles, accounts, or business assets. The seizure is a preventive measure; confiscation has not been reported as final.
