Carabinieri in Paternopoli, in the province of Avellino, have executed a precautionary measure against a 60-year-old man accused of violence, mistreatment and threats against the 80-year-old father of his partner.
The measure prohibits the suspect from residing in or returning to the municipality of Paternopoli.
According to the report, the man allegedly struck the elderly victim with a wooden pole and threatened him with death. The alleged assault left the victim injured and led him to seek medical treatment at a hospital.
The report states that the "Codice Rosso" procedure was activated after an immediate complaint and requests for help.
The order was issued by the Investigating Judge of the Benevento Tribunal.
