Scandone Avellino has reached an agreement with Nicola Savoldelli as a new addition to its backcourt.
The club announced the Bergamo-born point guard, born on May 15, 1997, as reinforcement for the guard rotation. The move was also confirmed by local press outlet Ottopagine.
Savoldelli brings experience from Serie A2 and Serie B. He developed in the youth system of Bluorobica Bergamo and completed part of his development with Stella Azzurra Roma, winning the Under-19 national title in 2015.
At senior level, he has played for Treviglio, NPC Rieti, Valsesia, Fiorentina Basket, Pozzuoli and Bergamo. During the 2020/21 regular season with Pozzuoli, he averaged nearly 14 points and 6.4 assists.
From 2022 to 2025, Savoldelli played for Pallacanestro Montecatini, where he served as captain, made 104 appearances and won the 2025 Serie B Nazionale Italian Cup. In the 2025/26 season, he played at Monopoli and then at Pielle Livorno.
Commenting on the move, Savoldelli called Avellino "the right choice at the right time" and said he cannot wait to get started and contribute on the court, putting his qualities at the service of the team.
