The XXI edition of Luci d'Artista is scheduled to begin at 17:30 in Salerno's Villa Comunale, with an inaugural route through the historic centre.
According to the reported programme, the opening walk continues through via dei Mercanti and piazza Flavio Gioia before reaching piazza Caduti di Brescia in Pastena.
Reported installations for this edition include the traditional snow-covered branches on corso Garibaldi, "I Cristalli" on corso Vittorio Emanuele, a fairy-tale theme in Villa Comunale and the returning penguins on lungomare Trieste.
The opening programme also includes the "Extinction" exhibition at Casa del Combattente at 17:00, featuring Max Papeschi's project and an installation of 46 terracotta sculptures.
For opening night and the wider festival period, the traffic strategy relies on interchange parking, public transport, the Arechi area and shuttle connections. Four buses are planned to run approximately every 20 minutes between Arechi and piazza della Libertà.
Rail transport is a central part of the plan. From 7 November to 6 January, the Salerno–Stadio Arechi metropolitan service is planned to receive five additional trains per direction during the evening and night, between 22:35 and 01:05. Metropolitan service is expected to continue until 03:35 on New Year's Eve.
The broader extraordinary rail programme includes 19 additional services and approximately 10,000 additional seats per day on weekends and selected holiday dates.
Train schedules, bus arrangements and traffic restrictions are pre-event plans and may change. Visitors travelling for the 17:30 inauguration should use public transport and interchange parking where possible and check updated transport information before setting out.
