A high-speed van crashed in the morning near the railway station in Nocera Inferiore, leaving two people injured.

According to Il Mattino, the driver fled the scene after the collision without providing assistance. An ambulance was called to treat the two injured people.

Municipal police officers used surveillance cameras in the area to trace the vehicle and then identify the driver. Investigators found that the driver was a minor who had never obtained a driving licence.

The minor was reported at large to the competent judicial authority for failure to render assistance and causing injuries. The van involved in the crash was seized.

The identities and medical conditions of the injured people have not been reported.
