The sixth edition of the Trofeo Arbiter–Loro Piana was held in Naples on 16 and 17 October 2026. It was the first Neapolitan edition of the competition after five editions in Milan.
Javin Tan Yi Chen of Singapore, founder of Common Suits, won the main 2026 trophy. Riccardo Verolo received the award dedicated to young talents.
A first edition in Naples
The move to Naples marked a change for the competition. After five editions in Milan, the 2026 event took place in Naples over two days, on 16 and 17 October.
Judging of the participating creations took place at Villa Doria d'Angri. Other city venues were also used during the two-day programme.
The winner and the field
The 2026 main trophy went to Javin Tan Yi Chen of Singapore, founder of Common Suits.
He was selected from a field of 24 master tailors. Six participants were from Italy and 18 came from abroad.
The separate award for young talents went to Riccardo Verolo. A complete official ranking and detailed judging scores were not provided in the available sources.
Theme and fabrics
The competition theme was "Style On Board and Dockside," interpreted using Loro Piana fabrics.
The sources do not give further detail on how individual tailors interpreted the theme.
The Neapolitan role
The association Le Mani di Napoli contributed to bringing the competition to Naples.
Michele Sabino, Cristina Dalcuore and Vincenzo Cuomo participated in the judging panel for the association.
Le Mani di Napoli was also preparing a disciplinary framework intended to define distinctive characteristics of Neapolitan tailoring and support a possible European geographical-indication recognition. That recognition is described as a work in progress, not as an achieved status.
Descriptions of Naples as a capital of high tailoring reflect editorial and promotional framing around the event, rather than a separately measured or legally established status.
