Police in Naples have seized about six kilograms of marijuana in an operation between the Rione Sanita and Colli Aminei areas, leading to the arrest of a 25-year-old woman.
According to Il Mattino on 20 October 2026, officers from the San Carlo Arena commissariat stopped the woman in a car after observing what they described as a suspicious exchange. A check of her bag revealed approximately half a kilogram of marijuana.
A subsequent search of her apartment led officers to find approximately 5.5 additional kilograms of marijuana, the report states. Police also seized a precision scale and material used to package individual doses.
The woman, identified in the report only by the initials U.A.G., was arrested. The report links the seized drugs to suspected retail distribution, particularly in nightlife settings.
