A collision involving two cars and a motorcycle disrupted traffic on the afternoon of 17 September 2026 at Piano Cappelle, along the SS7 Appia near Villa Margherita.
The most seriously injured person was the 48-year-old motorcyclist, who was transported to San Pio Hospital in Benevento under red-code conditions. The driver of a Peugeot suffered slight injuries, while the driver of a Fiat Tipo was unharmed.
According to NTR24, debris on the roadway and the Peugeot lying across the carriageway caused heavy disruption, with long queues forming in both directions between Benevento and San Giorgio del Sannio.
Firefighters, two 118 ambulances and the municipal police attended the scene.
