Benevento is appointing four new traffic auxiliaries to support enforcement in paid-parking areas, known locally as the blue lines.

According to NTR24, the appointments were made by decree signed by Mayor Clemente Mastella, following a staffing request from Benevento Mobilità Srl on 26 October 2026. The four new operators replace three previously designated operators whose appointments or employment relationships had ended.

The report states that the paid-parking concession is governed by a convention signed on 18 February 2026.

The new operators reportedly passed checks of their criminal records and pending charges, and held certificates confirming attendance at the required auxiliary-traffic training course.

Their powers are limited to the areas and functions established by the applicable rules, principally checking compliance in paid-parking spaces and preparing preliminary violation notices.

The report does not specify when the four auxiliaries will begin operational duties.
