Carabinieri from the Mondragone Territorial Department stopped a car along Via Domiziana, near the "IDAC" roundabout, during a morning anti-drug roadside check.
There were two people in the vehicle at the time of the stop. A subsequent personal and vehicle search found approximately 8 grams of hashish on the driver, a 57-year-old resident of Capua.
The substance was seized and taken into custody by the Carabinieri. The driver was reported at liberty in connection with the offence described under Article 73(5) of Presidential Decree 309/1990.
The report does not identify the second person in the car or indicate whether that person faced any action. The person reported remains presumed innocent until any final conviction.
