Vincenzo Marasco, president of the Centro Studi Storici "Nicolò d'Alagno" in Torre Annunziata, has been named a Knight of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.
According to Metropolis Web, the investiture took place in Naples in the presence of Prince Carlo di Borbone delle Due Sicilie, Duke of Castro and head of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.
Recognition for work on local heritage
The report links the honor to Marasco's work promoting and protecting the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Torre Annunziata — ancient Oplontis — and nearby municipalities.
