Nativi Vesuviani returns to Torre del Greco for its second edition, with four events scheduled from 18 October to 28 November 2026. The series brings together literature, theatre, music, sport and social commitment, with a focus on Vesuvian identity, critical thinking, social integration, legality and the educational values of sport.

The series was conceived by Gigi Di Luca and is promoted by the association Ghenearte in collaboration with La Bazzarra and Banca di Credito Popolare, with the contribution of the City of Torre del Greco as part of Contribuiamo alla Cultura 2026.

Four meetings from October to November

The opening event on 18 October is dedicated to Marco Zurzolo, saxophonist and composer. He presents a narrative work set in Forcella and also performs live music. Sources report different titles for the work: Forcella in some sources and Il suono di Forcella in the Banca di Credito Popolare communication.

On 29 October, Patrizio Oliva takes part in a discussion centred on social redemption, discipline, inclusion and the educational values of sport.

On 13 November, Andrej Longo presents Undici. Non dimenticare, described in the research as a collection of eleven stories about women.

The closing event on 28 November features Eugenio Bennato, with a meeting on the musical traditions of southern Italy and the Mediterranean, accompanied by live performances.

What connects the programme

Rather than a simple sequence of book presentations, the four dates link different languages: narrative writing, live music, sporting experience and discussion of civic themes. The common thread is redemption and belonging — stories rooted in Naples, Forcella, the Vesuvian area and the wider South, used as starting points to talk about identity, legality and social participation.

For visitors to the Naples and Campania area, the series offers a way to hear well-known figures speak in a local context, combining listening, reading and direct dialogue.

Practical information

The inaugural meeting with Marco Zurzolo is indicated as taking place at Palazzo Vallelonga, at corso Vittorio Emanuele 92/100 in Torre del Greco. Banca di Credito Popolare states that admission to the events is free.

The sources do not give complete times for all four meetings, and they do not clarify whether booking is required for free admission. Check the organisers' listings before travelling for confirmed times, venues, any booking requirements and possible schedule changes.
