Torre Annunziata is marking the 2026 Madonna della Neve celebrations with a programme that combines religious observance and popular music. The 2026 programme includes performances by Monica Sarnelli and Emiliana Cantone, according to local press reports.

Emiliana Cantone is scheduled to perform on 23 October at 21:30 in Piazza Giovanni XXIII.

No date, time or venue has been reported in the acquired sources for Monica Sarnelli's performance.

Ten Days of Religious Celebrations

The religious celebrations begin on 13 October with a solemn novena and culminate on 22 October with a Eucharistic celebration and procession.

Intermediate observances reported in the programme include:

  • 16 October: a penitential day
  • 18 October: an institutional procession with a floral tribute
  • 21 October: a Marian prayer vigil
  • 22 October: the Eucharistic celebration and procession with the image of the Madonna

The 22 October procession is scheduled to pass through central streets including the area between Piazza Giovanni XXIII, Via De Simone and Corso Vittorio Emanuele III.

A Votive Celebration Linked to 1822

The 22 October votive celebration is associated with the local memory of the 1822 Vesuvius eruption and the traditional procession of the Madonna's image.

That historical link gives the October date its votive character: the religious events from 13 to 22 October lead to the celebration and procession on 22 October.

What Visitors Should Know

Two practical details help readers plan around this year's feast.

First, festive lighting is privately supported. Private sponsors are supporting festive lighting at least in Piazza Giovanni XXIII and Via De Simone after the municipality declined to fund a citywide lighting installation. The extent of lighting beyond those two locations is not confirmed.

Second, the main day can be followed remotely. Vesuvio Live announced a live broadcast beginning at 09:30 on 22 October, with the procession expected at 10:00.

The complete programme of civil and artistic events may still be subject to further announcements. Readers checking dates for concerts, and in particular for Monica Sarnelli's performance, should look for updates from the organizers and local press.
