The Review Court in Naples has annulled the precautionary order against G.G., a businessman from Torre Annunziata investigated in the alleged illegal puppy-trafficking case led by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples.

The decision concerns only G.G.'s position and does not affect the other suspects. The grounds for the Review Court's ruling were not yet available in the reporting consulted.

The investigation concerns an alleged organization dedicated to the importation and illicit sale of companion animals from abroad. According to investigators, the puppies were brought in from Eastern Europe and then sold as certified pedigree dogs, advertised with pedigree certificates, microchips and vaccinations, in some cases supported by documentation considered false.

The wider operation had led to five precautionary measures, the seizure of four commercial businesses and a preventive seizure of 43,000 euros, according to the Carabinieri.

The case reportedly began after an abandoned puppy was found in critical condition. The animal later died from serious illnesses and immune deficiencies.

G.G.'s defense challenged the link between ordinary commercial relations and participation in the alleged criminal association. The specific role attributed to him by the prosecution was not clarified in the reporting.

The annulment was issued at the precautionary stage. It is not a final finding on guilt or innocence, and it does not close the investigation into the alleged trafficking network between Naples and Torre Annunziata.

Further precautionary and procedural developments for the other suspects have not been reported, and the next steps in the Naples investigation remain to be clarified.
