A 35-year-old man from Torre Annunziata has been arrested on charges of possession of narcotics with intent to deal, after police found more than two hundred grams of hashish hidden inside an apartment in the city.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Torre Annunziata police station, supported by the canine unit of the Ufficio Prevenzione Generale e Soccorso Pubblico. During the search of the apartment, drug-detection dog Evan picked up the scent and led officers to the hiding place.
Inside, police seized three full blocks of hashish and five sticks already prepared for distribution, for a total of 206 grams. Officers also seized a precision electronic scale, packaging materials, and 60 euros in small-denomination banknotes.
According to the report, the suspect was already known to law enforcement and has specific police records related to drugs.
Following the seizure, the man was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority for expedited proceedings. No final judicial outcome has been reported.
