A large firecracker exploded during the night inside the gallery on Via Del Balzo in Avellino.
The blast occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m., according to IrpiniaNews. Police from the Avellino Questura, including the Volanti and the Squadra Mobile, investigated the incident.
Investigators acquired a short video that reportedly shows a hooded man throwing the firecracker into the gallery. The identity of the person shown in the footage had not been confirmed at the time of the report.
The reported damage was limited. Investigators described chipped paving and some plaster that fell inside an unoccupied shop.
At the time of the report, no business owners or residents of the two nearby buildings had reported the incident. Investigators had not determined whether the act was a prank or had a more serious motive.
