A woman was beaten by her 38-year-old former partner in Torre del Greco while she was walking with her young daughter, despite a prohibition on approaching her and an electronic anti-stalking device.
The incident took place on via San Giuseppe alle Paludi. According to Il Mattino, the woman was holding her daughter's hand when the former partner allegedly attacked her.
Residents heard the woman calling for help and alerted police. Officers from the Torre del Greco commissariat responded to the scene.
The alleged attacker fled toward the rocks bordering the sea and the railway. Police located and stopped him within minutes.
The woman and child were taken to the emergency department in Castellammare di Stabia. They were reportedly not in danger of dying.
