Two adolescents, both just under fourteen, were stopped by local police in San Nicola la Strada after damaging a slide in the municipal park "Decorati di Valor Militare Sannicolesi," located between via dei Funai and via Patturelli.
According to Il Mattino Caserta, the youths were jumping on the plastic section of the slide and bending it until it became unusable. The intervention followed a report from a resident, and surveillance-camera footage helped officers identify those responsible.
The group present in the park numbered approximately seven or eight adolescents. Police summoned the parents of the two minors identified as responsible for the damage and informed them that they would have to cover the cost, to be assessed by the municipal technical office.
During the same operation, two other youths riding electric bicycles were fined for violating the ban on bicycles and motorcycles inside the town's public parks.
The exact date of the incident, the amount of the fines, and the final repair cost were not reported.
