SSC Napoli has presented “Tanos,” a mini-documentary about the bond between Naples and Argentina.

Set in Buenos Aires, the film follows Argentine Napoli supporters and their connection to the club, including people who identify with Napoli even though they have never lived in Naples.

What “Tanos” is about

According to SSC Napoli, the documentary explores what it means to be “tanos” — a term described as deriving from “napolitanos,” an appellation used for Italians in Argentina.

Through supporters’ stories, the film looks at family memories, everyday gestures, and shared match-day rituals that keep the Napoli identity alive across generations and across distance.

Maradona’s legacy

A central thread is the legacy of Diego Armando Maradona, whose history with Napoli remains a living reference point for Argentine supporters featured in the film.

Part of the Centenary season

SSC Napoli describes “Tanos” as part of the club’s Centenary season, framing the Buenos Aires story as one chapter in a wider celebration of Napoli identity and its global supporters.

The club has made the mini-documentary available through the official video embedded with its announcement.
