The Church in Naples is mourning Don Angelo Esposito, a missionary priest originally from San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, who died at the age of 53 after a long illness.
According to Il Mattino, which reported the news on 7 October 2026, Don Angelo had moved to Tacaná, Guatemala, about 25 years ago to serve poor communities, with particular attention to children and families in need.
In Tacaná he founded the association “Hermana Tierra” to support local families.
