Campania will hold its Civil Protection Week from 8 to 19 October 2026. The programme is organised by Regione Campania together with the Prefectures, with information and exercise events across all provinces for residents, schools, institutions, volunteers and operational services.
The regional Civil Protection authority identifies the Campania programme as part of the eighth edition of the national Civil Protection Week in 2026. The regional executive has approved activities including exercises, training meetings, school activities, evacuation drills and the national “Io non Rischio” campaign.
What is planned
The stated aims are to spread a culture of prevention and to strengthen awareness of risks and correct behaviour in emergencies.
Planned activities include:
- Terzigno, 8–9 October: information activities on wildfire prevention, visits to the base camp and educational excursions reserved for schools.
- Terzigno, 10–11 October: free guided excursions in Vesuvius National Park focused on the areas affected by the 2025 fire and on prevention work.
- Seismic-risk exercises in Avellino, in the Sele area and in Sannio.
- San Marco Evangelista, 16–17 October: “Cucine in campo”, a national exercise on emergency kitchens, with training and public-information activities.
