Carabinieri from the Apice station carried out an extraordinary prevention and territorial-control operation, with particular attention to evenings and weekends.
According to the NTR24 report, the operation checked 86 people and 72 vehicles. Officers issued eight administrative sanctions for a total exceeding €9,000.
One person was reported while at liberty for repeatedly driving without a licence.
Four vehicles were subject to administrative seizure or administrative immobilisation for insurance, revoked-licence or negligent-entrustment violations. Two additional vehicles were suspended from circulation because they had not undergone inspection.
Officers also checked six extra-urban buses and school buses. One driver was sanctioned €1,021 for lacking the required annual medical certificate, with a licence suspension of four to eight months.
One driver was sanctioned €543 for driving under the influence of alcohol, received a 10-point licence deduction and a three-to-six-month licence suspension, and had the vehicle immobilised. A young bar patron was sanctioned for manifest drunkenness.
