Work begins on Monday, 28 September, on the section of Provincial Road 80 that runs around Lake Telese Terme.
The intervention covers the lakeside stretch across the municipalities of Telese Terme and Solopaca, in the province of Benevento. The project is funded with 100,000 euros secured by the Province of Benevento through a loan from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
The works have been assigned to Cavoto Costruzioni s.r.l. under an existing framework agreement.
According to the reported plans, crews will clean the roadside areas, mill the existing road surface, and lay a new bituminous wearing course. The stated aim is to improve road safety while supporting the area's environmental, landscape, and territorial development policies.
Because of the road's limited width, the lakeside section is expected to be closed to traffic for about five days while the works are carried out.
Exact closure times and any diversion routes have not yet been specified. Drivers planning to travel around Lago di Telese during the work period should check for local updates before setting out and allow extra time for possible detours.
