A new educational and cultural project, the Scuola di Economia Vitale — School of Vital Economy — is launching in Pietrelcina, in the province of Benevento. Its stated aim is to help people and organizations design economic activities oriented toward human and non-human life.

The school draws on the "Economia Vitale" paradigm, with conceptual references including the principle of the "limite" (limit), "profitto giusto" (fair profit), and the "one life / one health" perspective.

Inaugural course: "Radici di Pace"

The inaugural course is titled "Radici di Pace: L'economia meridiana nel futuro dell'Europa" — "Roots of Peace: The Meridian Economy in the Future of Europe." It is scheduled for 9–10 October 2026 in Pietrelcina and is organized in collaboration with the Scuola di Economia Civile.

Sessions are planned as follows:

  • Friday 9 October: 15:00 to 19:00
  • Saturday 10 October: 09:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 17:00

Speakers named in the programme include Luca Jahier, Luigino Bruni, Leonardo Laterza, Anna Teselli, and Giuseppe Marotta.

Venue and registration

The initiative is organized by the cooperative Sabiria and will be held at Via Maresciallo Mandato 55 in Pietrelcina, the national headquarters of the Rete di Economia Civile Sale della Terra.
