Benevento's Palazzo Mosti has moved to keep the city's planning department running while its leadership is reorganised. Maria Luisa Dovetto, serving as interim director of the VI Urbanistica Sector, has temporarily delegated part of the sector's management functions to engineer Luigi De Marco.
De Marco is a Comune di Benevento official holding an Elevata Qualificazione position within the same Urbanistica sector.
The delegation covers final decisions in proceedings handled by the Sportello Unico per l'Edilizia (SUE), including the granting or refusal of building permits, extensions, transfers, acts connected to SCIA and CILA filings, conformity assessments and habitability measures.
It also includes urban-building supervision and enforcement against unauthorised construction, including work-stoppage orders, demolition and restoration orders and financial penalties under the applicable building legislation.
Other delegated activities concern planning, urban design, toponymy, the territorial information system, service conferences and technical preparatory work for sector proposals.
Dovetto took over the sector on an interim basis after Giancarlo Corsano left the Urbanistica leadership following the early termination of the shared-use arrangement between the Comune and the Provincia. The stated purpose of the temporary arrangement is to ensure administrative continuity while a permanent technical manager is identified.
The full text of the delegation order, including its exact duration and any limits concerning procurement and personnel matters, was not publicly available in the reporting consulted, and no official Comune copy of the order was independently confirmed.
