Several urban bans have been issued in the Benevento area after a series of fights, assaults and a theft involving young people, including minors.
According to NTR24, the Benevento police chief issued six so-called urban Daspo measures against youths involved in a brawl near a bar in Vitulano on July 22. Two of the recipients were minors. The altercation involved young people from Vitulano and Tocco Caudio and included reciprocal kicks and punches.
Two additional measures concerned an assault inside a bar in central Telese Terme on September 18. A further measure concerned an alleged assault and threats against a patrol in Benevento on July 29.
A minor foreign national received a measure after an alleged gold-chain snatching near a bar by Benevento railway station on August 20.
The measures generally prohibit access to nearby public establishments and entertainment venues from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for periods of one or two years, together with a ban on loitering in the surrounding areas.
NTR24 also reports a one-year measure against a 31-year-old Naples resident allegedly involved in unauthorized sales near Benevento shopping-centre car parks.
The reported conduct remains alleged, and the measures described are preventive restrictions; they do not establish criminal convictions.
