Aurora Borriello, a young footballer from Torre del Greco, is making her way through the youth ranks of Napoli Women.
Born in 2014, Borriello is now in her second year in Napoli's youth system. A student at the De Nicola-Sasso institute, she began playing at Virtus Vesuvio, continued at Napoli Campania, and then earned a place at Napoli Women after a trial.
She has already made her debut in the top national championship for her age group. Last season she scored three goals and took part in the Under-12 national finals held at Coverciano.
For the new season, her stated goals are to improve on that scoring tally and to reach the national finals again. Within the team, the club is also considering using her as a central striker after fielding her as a winger.
Behind the progress is a significant family commitment: daily trips from Torre del Greco to Afragola so she can attend training.
