The governing majority in San Giuseppe Vesuviano is being reorganised after a definitive break between Mayor Michele Sepe and the Democratic Party and Libera San Giuseppe.
According to Metropolis Web, Sepe is now negotiating with Forza Italia and Risveglio Popolare to rebuild political support in the council and complete the municipal executive, or giunta. The report says four assessor positions have remained vacant since May 2026.
The municipality's official transparency portal records the revocation of two assessor appointments on 24 July 2026, alongside further administrative measures from July 2026. The retrieved records do not identify the full composition of a new governing coalition.
The realignment follows months of tension. In earlier reporting, the local PD accused Sepe of abandoning the political project voted for in 2024 and attempting to construct a different majority, referring the matter to the Prefect of Naples for review.
The current transition is therefore both an administrative reshuffle and a broader political realignment within the council majority. The names, portfolios and appointment date of any incoming assessors have not yet been confirmed.
