Tenuta Frassitelli 2024 is an Ischia DOC white wine from Casa D'Ambra, made from Biancolella grapes. Luciano Pignataro presents it as one of Ischia's historic whites and finds the 2024 ready to drink after two years of waiting.

The wine and the vineyard

According to Casa D'Ambra, Tenuta Frassitelli is an Ischia Biancolella DOC made from 100% Biancolella. The grapes come from the Frassitelli estate, which includes the Pietra Martone and Tifeo areas, at 400–550 metres above sea level on steep slopes facing south and south-west.

The producer reports manual harvesting, white vinification with temperature control, and ageing in steel tanks. The declared alcohol content is 12% vol.

How it tastes

The tasting description points to citrus and floral aromas, with freshness, savouriness and good persistence on the palate. The noted finish is long, and the recommended pairing is seafood cooking.

Visiting Frassitelli

The estate can be visited through tours and tastings organised by Casa D'Ambra. The formats include the Frassitelli vineyard, the cellar and the historic archives, with a tasting of four wines. Advance booking is required, and visitors should confirm current arrangements directly before planning.
