An inspection in the ASI industrial area of Marcianise has led to the immediate suspension of a company operating in waste transport and disposal and septic-tank services, with administrative penalties totalling about 18,500 euros.
The check was carried out jointly by the local Carabinieri station, the Carabinieri Labour Inspectorate unit and the Caserta Territorial Labour Inspectorate. According to corroborating local reports, the inspection took place on the afternoon of Wednesday 28 October.
One undeclared worker identified
Inspectors reported finding one employee working without a regular declaration or contract. The reports describe the worker as employed in nero, meaning without the required formal employment registration.
The company has not been named in the reports acquired so far.
Safety and compliance issues reported
The inspection also reported a series of workplace safety and compliance shortcomings, including:
- missing or inadequate health surveillance and medical examinations;
- shortcomings in worker training;
- absence of a risk-assessment document;
- problems with electrical-system conformity;
- inadequate workplace conditions.
The reports do not provide a detailed breakdown showing how the approximately 18,500 euros in penalties were allocated among the individual violations.
Activity suspended, administrator reported
The company's activity was suspended immediately. A 49-year-old woman identified as the company's administrator and resident in the province of Naples was reported to the judicial authorities.
The reports state that the case remained under investigation and that the administrator's responsibility had not been established by a final judgment.
What happens next remains unclear
The available reports do not state the duration of the suspension or the conditions the company must meet for the suspension to be lifted. No primary inspection record or judicial document was available to independently verify the reported allegations or any subsequent procedural developments.
