An escaped blue-and-yellow macaw named Ariel was recovered unharmed in Avellino after taking refuge at the top of a tree near the roundabout on Via Scandone.

According to local press reporting, Ariel had flown from her home and settled high in a tree in the Tuoro Cappuccini area, drawing the attention of passersby and onlookers.

Police and firefighters responded to the scene and used an aerial ladder in an attempt to reach the bird. Ariel's owners also brought her perch to the site to help lure her down.

The recovery ended safely: “Ariel è stata recuperata incolume e ha potuto fare ritorno a casa.”

No further details about the escape, the duration of the operation, or any traffic disruption were provided in the available report.
