Carabinieri in Melfi have executed six precautionary measures against four adults and two minors suspected of attempted aggravated murder committed in complicity, as well as unlawful carrying of weapons.
According to the report from Il Mattino, the measures concern an alleged attack on the evening of 13 August 2026. Investigators say the episode followed earlier family disputes.
The victim, originally from Melfi but resident in the province of Salerno, was travelling by car with his brother when he was stopped in the street. He was then struck on the head with a blunt object and stabbed repeatedly in the chest, suffering serious injuries to vital organs.
The four adults were transferred to prison, while the two minors were placed in community facilities.
The case remains at the preliminary-investigation stage. The responsibility of the suspects has not been definitively established, and no names, ages, further details of the alleged family dispute, or later judicial developments have been reported.
