A man of about 40, living in the northern part of the Vallo di Diano, has been placed under house arrest over alleged stalking of a female neighbor.
According to the report in Il Mattino's Salerno section, the man had already been reported to authorities and was subject to an obligation to sign in regularly in connection with the case.
He allegedly threatened the victim with a toy gun. Carabinieri from the Sala Consilina company intervened and stopped the man.
Precautionary measures against him were then tightened: he was placed under house arrest, with an electronic bracelet also applied.
