A 17-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a road crash on the Statale 18 at Omignano Scalo, in the province of Salerno.
According to Il Mattino Salerno, the incident involved a car and a motorcycle. The rider, described as a local boy who was almost 18, struck the guardrail during the collision and suffered polytrauma.
Emergency responders treated him as a red-code case at the scene. He was then transferred to San Luca Hospital in Vallo della Lucania for further care.
