Alessandro Ciccarelli, aged 30 and originally from Sant'Anastasia, died in a motorcycle crash on the SS162dir near Acerra. According to Il Mattino and corroborating local reporting, he lost control of his motorcycle while travelling from Naples toward Acerra.
The crash occurred at approximately kilometre 18.400, on the carriageway toward Acerra. Ciccarelli was pronounced dead at the scene. The precise cause of the loss of control had not been established.
