A security guard was assaulted inside the emergency department of the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare di Stabia by relatives of a patient, according to a report in Il Mattino Napoli.
The State Police intervened at the hospital after receiving a report of the assault. According to the account, the attacker first confronted the guard verbally and then physically attacked him.
Police arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with the episode. The charges reported are personal injury, violence, threats, and resistance against a person entrusted with a public service.
