Three men have been reported to judicial authorities after allegedly dumping waste in the street in Poggiomarino and assaulting a woman and her young son who tried to stop them.
According to Il Mattino, the incident took place in via Ceraso, in the Longola area of Poggiomarino. A 36-year-old woman, travelling by car with her 12-year-old son, stopped after seeing the men unloading waste from a truck and asked them to stop.
Her son began recording the scene with a smartphone. The three men allegedly responded with insults and threats, then attacked the mother and child with a stick and took the boy's phone.
The Carabinieri of Poggiomarino identified the suspects using information gathered during the investigation and surveillance footage recorded along the truck's route.
Those reported include a 36-year-old man from Poggiomarino and a father and son from San Giuseppe Vesuviano. The alleged offences are abandonment of waste and assault.
The reports are denunciations, not a final judicial determination of responsibility.
