Campania's Civil Protection has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of Campania from 00:00 to 16:00 on Thursday 22 October, with isolated rain and possible showers or thunderstorms.
According to the report, precipitation in Zones 1, 2 and 4 is expected to ease during the morning, while isolated showers or thunderstorms remain possible elsewhere during the warning period.
The warning concerns hydrogeological risk. Possible effects include surface water on roads, overflow or backflow from rainwater drainage systems, flooding in low-lying areas, and rising water levels in local waterways.
Rockfalls and occasional landslides are also considered possible in areas with fragile hydrogeological conditions, including areas affected by soil saturation and previous wildfires.
