A new free educational and play centre called “A Speranza de Creature” has opened at via Piazzolla 15 in Naples.

The centre is promoted by Fondazione A’ Voce d’’e Creature ETS, founded by Don Luigi Merola, with support from Enel Cuore. According to the validated project descriptions, it is intended to welcome 50 children under five who are experiencing social, economic or family vulnerability.

The inauguration was attended by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi.

A confiscated building returned to community use

The building that houses the centre was confiscated from organised crime. It is now part of the Municipality of Naples’ property holdings and was made available for free use for the project.

Enel Cuore lists a €50,000 contribution to the project, with a stated project period from June to November 2025.

Who the centre is for

The programme is aimed at young children in vulnerable situations. Groups named by Enel Cuore include, among others:

  • children supported by social services
  • children of detained parents or parents subject to restrictive measures
  • children with disabilities
  • minors involved in proceedings before the Juvenile Court

The overall capacity described for the new space is 50 children under five.

What the programme plans to offer

According to Enel Cuore, the foundation plans personalised pathways for the children, combining play, learning activities, support for autonomy and support for emotional wellbeing.

The centre is presented as both a ludoteca and an educational space: free of charge for participating families and focused on early childhood.

What families should know before going

The available sources do not specify the centre’s regular opening days, timetable or enrolment procedure. Families interested in access will need to contact Fondazione A’ Voce d’’e Creature ETS directly for current admission information.

It is also not clear from the published sources whether the stated June–November 2025 project period covers only renovation and launch activities or the full duration of services. The contribution amount and dates are those published on the Enel Cuore project page.

No independently acquired municipal source was available to corroborate the inauguration details beyond the reported attendance of the minister and the mayor.
