Gas-pipeline replacement works will affect Piazza Sannazaro and the Galleria Laziale from 19 October through 13 November 2026. The works concern replacement of the gas distribution pipeline and are being carried out for Italgas Reti S.p.A.
The temporary traffic scheme is established by Comune di Napoli Ordinanza Dirigenziale n. 578 of 25 September 2026.
First phase: 19 October to 6 November
From 19 October to 6 November, vehicle traffic will be prohibited in Piazza Sannazaro between civic number 70 and the Galleria Laziale entrance, including the adjacent preferential lane leading to the tunnel.
During this first phase, vehicle traffic will also be prohibited in the preferential lane inside the Galleria Laziale.
Second phase: 9 to 13 November, at night
From 9 to 13 November, the restrictions are scheduled for nighttime hours, from 22:30 to 05:00.
The available sources describe these two time windows. They do not establish whether the works will finish earlier than 13 November.
ANM stop in via Caio Duilio
An ANM bus stop is scheduled in via Caio Duilio, after the Galleria Quattro Giornate and near civic number 47.
What to check on site
The ordinance states that the temporary measures take effect when the relevant road signage is installed. Drivers should follow the signs in place in Piazza Sannazaro and at the Galleria Laziale entrance.
The ordinance also allows the competent public-safety authority to modify activation times or adopt additional temporary measures for public-order reasons.
