A 56-year-old motorcyclist died late Friday evening in a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the provincial road between Piedimonte di Sessa and Mondragone, in the municipality of Sessa Aurunca.
The victim was Giuseppe Fasano, a local rider. According to Il Mattino, he died at the scene.
Two people traveling in the car — the 33-year-old driver and a 28-year-old passenger — were taken to hospital in serious condition. Their injuries were reported as not life-threatening.
Police investigations were ongoing. The initial reconstruction suggested a head-on collision, but the exact point of impact and the definitive cause had not been established. The car driver was expected to be investigated for road homicide.
