A 45-year-old man residing in the Teano area has been identified and reported to prosecutors after allegedly abandoning a bucket containing paint and other hazardous waste along a provincial road.
According to Il Mattino Caserta, the incident was captured by environmental-monitoring cameras. Investigators say the footage enabled them to identify the vehicle's license plate and trace the alleged offender.
The operation was carried out by the Provincial Police of Caserta together with the Italian Agroforestry Guard.
