The Campania Region has published the 2026 call for the second phase of "Scuola Viva in Cantiere," its program for public school buildings across the region.

The initiative covers safety work, regulatory compliance and renovation of public school buildings in Campania. Applications are submitted exclusively online from 12:00 on 15 July 2026 to 12:00 on 15 September 2026.

What the program funds

According to the Campania Region, the call funds the creation of a project pool for safety upgrades, regulatory adaptation and renovation of public school buildings.

The buildings concerned are those used for early childhood schools, childhood centers, primary schools, lower and upper secondary schools and comprehensive institutes, where listed in the Regional School Building Registry, the Anagrafe Regionale dell'Edilizia Scolastica (ARES).

Eligible proposals can combine building, structural and plant works with goals including safety, usability, energy efficiency and reduced consumption and CO2 emissions.

How and when to apply

Applications for the 2026 session must be transmitted exclusively online through the Campania Region's Servizi Digitali platform.

The window is:

  • Opening: 15 July 2026 at 12:00
  • Closing: 15 September 2026 at 12:00

Proposals must relate to public school buildings recorded in ARES. The digital service is used to submit proposals for those listed buildings.

What is new for the 2026 session

The 2026 session updates the evaluation criteria based on monitoring of previous editions.

Bodies already included in previous rankings are invited to submit a new application that complies with the updated criteria. In practice, a prior listing does not carry forward automatically; a fresh submission under the current rules is required.

Required documentation

The application requires upload of the safety evaluation template, the "Format valutazione della sicurezza," digitally signed by the RUP, along with the planned technical documentation.

The attached template covers data on structural units, level of knowledge and adequacy for vertical and seismic loads.

For readers tracking a specific school project, the two points to check first are ARES listing of the building and availability of the signed safety evaluation form, since both are identified in the regional digital procedure as conditions for submitting a proposal.

What remains to be clarified

The sources acquired for this article do not state the total funding available for the 2026 session.

The full text of the call, with all eligibility conditions, scores and selection procedures, was not included in the acquired sources. Readers should therefore refer to the official pages of the Regione Campania and the Servizi Digitali platform for the complete call documents before preparing a submission.
