Bonea has closed three roads after a landslide in località Capo, and the municipal administration has requested recognition of a state of emergency.
According to NTR24, Mayor's urgent ordinance no. 17/2026, issued on 23 October 2026, prohibits unauthorized vehicle and pedestrian access to via Capo, via Capo di sotto and via Punituro.
The Carabinieri Forestali identified a superficial landslide during a territorial inspection on 22 October 2026. Recent rainfall carried mud, ash left by the forest fire of 22 September 2026, and large stones downhill, leaving the final stretch of via Capo impassable.
Drone surveys reportedly showed continuing slope instability and the possibility of further debris flows if it rains again. The affected area includes the so-called Casino Colonico, while a residential area lies farther downhill on via Capo di sotto.
Bonea's administration linked its request for a state of emergency to the exceptional weather events of 21 October 2026.
What is not yet known: the official text of the ordinance was not independently available, and the emergency request had not been reported as approved or rejected. The report does not say anyone was injured or evacuated, nor does it give an estimate of damage or how long the closures will last.
