From Thursday 29 October, drivers in Benevento will face temporary parking restrictions on part of viale Mellusi while extraordinary cleaning of road drains resumes.
The affected section is viale Mellusi between the junctions with via Piranesi and via Nicola Sala.
What changes
On the right-hand side in the direction of travel, both parking and stopping will be prohibited from 08:00 to 18:00. The ban includes forced removal of vehicles.
The restriction will be applied progressively as the works advance along the road, rather than closing the whole section at once.
How long it lasts
Completion is expected by Wednesday 4 November. That date is reported as an expected deadline and could change if the works are delayed.
The work follows an earlier phase of extraordinary drain cleaning that was not completed because of bad weather. Further work is expected to continue progressively on the left-hand side and later toward piazza Risorgimento, subject to updated schedules.
Drivers using viale Mellusi should follow on-site signs for the daily work area, avoid parking on the indicated right-hand side during working hours, and check the Municipality of Benevento's traffic ordinance register for official updates.
