Alessandro Fucci, 50, from Telese Terme in the province of Benevento, has been appointed regional secretary for Campania of M.E.D.A., the Movimento Europeo Diversamente Abili.

According to NTR24, the appointment was formalized by the movement's national president, Maria Riccelli, and national secretary, Massimo Nigro.

A regional role focused on inclusion

M.E.D.A. presents itself as a movement working on disability rights, welfare and social inclusion. Its stated priorities for Campania include monitoring social and health services, promoting independent living, supporting employment inclusion for people with disabilities, and working to remove architectural, bureaucratic and cultural barriers.

The movement also says it aims to represent people with disabilities, their families and caregivers in dialogue with public institutions.

Permanent forum planned in Campania

As part of the new regional mandate, M.E.D.A. says it intends to establish a permanent forum in Campania for listening to local needs and developing policy proposals on disability, welfare and inclusion.

No concrete activities or outcomes in Campania following the appointment have yet been reported. The appointment and organizational plans are so far documented by the NTR24 report, without a separately acquired official announcement from the movement or public institutions.
