Benevento will present its PON Metro Plus strategy on Thursday 1 October 2026 at 18:30 at Teatro De La Salle.
The presentation will focus on the city's projects under PON Metro Plus and Città Medie Sud 2021–2027, under FSE+ Priority 5 concerning inclusion and social innovation.
Two complementary projects are at the centre of the initiative: COINLAB and EmpowerNet.
COINLAB is intended to support training, digital skills, creative and artisanal competencies, social gastronomy and social agriculture.
EmpowerNet is presented as a community-welfare project designed to strengthen cooperation among institutions, Third Sector organizations, associations and local actors, with an emphasis on proximity services and social inclusion.
A third element is the planned redevelopment of Villa dei Papi as a hub for training, digital skills, creativity and interaction among citizens, institutions, associations and businesses.
The projects are aimed especially at people experiencing social vulnerability, including people with disabilities, disadvantaged groups, young people, women and people outside the labour market.
The planned areas of intervention include Capodimonte, Rione Libertà, Zona Stazione and the Villa dei Papi area.
Funding amounts, project duration, participating organizations and application procedures have not been specified in the reports published so far.
