Napoli Basketball finished second at the Pajetta Memorial after losing the final 100-74 to PAOK Thessaloniki at the PalaCarnera in Udine.
The result closed the first phase of Napoli's preseason. Napoli had reached the final after defeating Reggio Emilia in the semifinal.
PAOK take control quarter by quarter
PAOK led from the start and increased its advantage as the game went on. The Greek side was ahead 26-19 after the first quarter and 50-44 at halftime.
The margin grew after the break. PAOK led 72-57 at the end of the third quarter before closing out the 100-74 win in the fourth.
Totè leads Napoli scorers
Leonardo Totè was Napoli's top scorer in the final with 18 points.
Petrucelli, White, and Ramsey each added 11 points for Napoli.
Precautionary absences
Sankare and Caruso were held out precautionarily and did not play in the final.
Preseason continues in Matera
The Pajetta Memorial marked the end of Napoli's first preseason phase.
Napoli are scheduled to play in a tournament in Matera the following weekend, alongside Scafati, Varese, and BC Roma.
