Napoli Basketball closed its Trofeo Basilicata campaign with a 106-90 victory over Scafati in the third-place final at PalaSassi in Matera, securing third place in the preseason tournament.
Napoli set the tone early, leading 31-20 after the first quarter. Scafati narrowed the gap before halftime, with Napoli ahead 57-51 at the break, and the Azzurri still led 80-72 entering the fourth quarter before pulling away for the 16-point win.
Andrej Jakimovski led Napoli with 24 points. Jahmi'us Ramsey followed with 20 points, while Cason White added 15, Marco Spissu scored 14, and Saliou Sankaré contributed 11.
Napoli was without three players for the final. Giovanni Petrucelli and Leonardo Totè did not travel to Matera after being rested as a precaution, while Jeff Dowtin was rested after taking a knock in the semifinal against Varese.
The win over Scafati wrapped up Napoli's appearance in Basilicata. The club's next appointment was its final preseason friendly in Strasbourg on September 19, ahead of the start of the Serie A season.
